If you are an academic recommending a book chapter to your students, please add the book to your module's Reading List (Leganto). You can ammend the entry to book chapter and then fields will appear for you to add the Chapter number or page numbers. You can then tag it appropriately to indicate if the item is essential, recommended or background reading.
You can also apply an additional tag of either
- Requires CLA Scanning.
- Transfer to Short Loan collection.
If permitted under the terms of the CLA licence, the required chapter will then be digitised, and the book containing the chapter may be moved to the Short Loan collection in the appropriate site library.
The Short Loan collection is a selection of library materials in heavy demand or defined as essential course reading. There are Short Loan collections in the Philip Robinson Library and Walton Library.
